Yoga Etiquette

•    Avoid eating a heavy meal at least 2 hours before practice

•    Please arrive 10-15 minutes early

•    Check-in at the front desk

•    Stow personal belongings including shoes, cell phones, etc. in the locker area

•    Turn off alarms on watches

•    Remove your shoes and enter the yoga studio quietly – the studio is one of very few places people have to experience the comfort of silence

•    Please honor the request for silence in the studio

•    Water is the only liquid allowed in the studio

•    No glass, gum, or food is allowed

•    Inform your instructor of any previous injuries or concerns before class begins

•    Be mindful during your practice- mindful of yourself, of others, and the space you share

•    Try not to compare yourself to others, try to let yourself be where you are in your practice, and explore your boundaries at the pace that is right for you

•    Please note: The studio doors are locked at the beginning of class and unlocked when class ends in order to protect our clients and their belongings. If you need to leave early, please let the instructor know in advance to minimize class disruption, and please do not leave during savasana.
